Members of Pontypridd Bowls Club have been putting plans in place to celebrate their Centenary which takes place this year.
At a meeting held at Duffys (Pontypridd Ex-Serviceman’s Club and Institute) bowls club chairman Mike Moore presented a £500 cheque donation to the club kindly donated by Unite The Union.
The club will host an event at their base in Ynysyngharad Park on April 20th as part of the Centenary celebrations.
Centenary celebration games have also been arranged for July 8th and July 28th , while a special trip to play in Hereford against Bulmers Bowls Club on August 11th has also been arranged.
The club captain for the Centenary will be their longest serving member Peter Andrei.
Club secretary Steve Jones said:”Club members are very much looking forward to a special season celebrating our Centenary.
“We are also delighted to welcome new members to the club.”
The club will get their Centenary year underway with a trip to the Rhondda to play Ystradfechan on May 2nd.
