Hot Jam Academy Rock the valleys!

Sunday 28th April sees the finale of the Hot Jam Academy, an innovative scheme for young people in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Over 50 young people aged 7 – 18 have been involved, writing their own lyrics and music, fine tuning and working together culminating in a gig at Cwmaman Arts Centre. Many of the young people have no previous experience writing their own music or playing in a band, and are really looking forward to the gig.
Participants have made new friends along the way, writing 10 amazing songs, which reflect their thoughts and feelings across a wide variety of subjects. They have been directed by Hot Jam’s four expert tutors, who are all professional musicians and teachers.
The Hot Jam Academy is supported by a grant from the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund.
The Fund has been established by energy company Vattenfall for the benefit of the communities hosting the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm.
