South Wales Police have named the victim of a fatal road traffic collision which happened in the early hours of Saturday 29th August as Rhianne Nicholas, 26, from Beddau.

Rhianne’s family has paid the following tribute to her:

“Rhianne was someone who always put others before herself. She always tried to make everyone happy no matter what.

“To so many she was a friend, but to us she is forever a sister and a mother who would constantly try to make you laugh and smile no matter how dark your day and a person who would always put others first even when the world was falling apart around her.

“We have all been greatly moved by the many messages of support and condolences we have received which is testament to the impact Rhianne had on so many.

“For everyone who knew her and would like to help in saying goodbye – we, as a family, have setup a GoFundMe page to help not only with the arrangements we must once again make so soon after losing both Rhianne’s parents but to pass on what remains to Rhianne’s young daughter so her life can maybe be made just that little bit brighter as she comes to terms with her loss.”

We are continuing to appeal for information or witnesses to the collision which happened at around 3:45am on Saturday 29th August on the A4119 at Penygraig when a red Vauxhall Adam collided with a tree.

The 24-year-old woman who was arrested following the incident has been released under investigation.

Anyone with any information or any dash-cam footage of the incident or anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of the Vauxhall Adam prior to the collision is asked to call us on 101, report online at bit.ly/SWPReport or email: publicservicecentre@south-wales.pnn.police.uk quoting occurrence 2000315279.
