Hundreds of people attended a Ukraine solidarity rally in Pontypridd

Hundreds of people attended a Ukraine solidarity rally yesterday in Pontypridd, one of several taking place across the country.

Among the speakers were Pontypridd’s Senedd Member Mick Antoniw who has family there and several people took to social media afterwards to say how moving, inspirational and heartbreaking it was to hear him tell real life family stories about how his cousins have taken arms to defend Kiev.

Among those also present were Cynon Valley MP Beth Winter, RCT Deputy Council Leader Cllr Maureen Webber, the Rev. Charlotte Rushton from St Catherine’s Church and Cllr Andrew Morgan, Leader of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.
