Heol Y Celin school Consultation

Local residents have until next Tuesday, the 1st of March to submit any comments they have to a Pre-planning Council consultation on the latest proposals for the transformation of Heol Y Celin school into a wholly Welsh Medium one, as part of a wider schools reorganisation plan for the greater Pontypridd area.

The planned move will result in the Heol Y Celin school catchment area increasing to include pupils from Pont Sorn Norton Welsh school to the north of the town which will close and the Taffs Well area to the south.

Local concerns have included travel arrangements to the school site and the latest version of the plan includes four car drop-off points in addition to parking for school buses within the school grounds.
