Yellow Weather Warning For RCT
Written by Gavin on 28th October 2020
The Met Office has issued a YELLOW weather warning to cover Rhondda Cynon Taf later this week, which will follow a period of prolonged rain over the course of the next few days.
Heavy rain may cause traffic/travel disruption across the County Borough, with a risk of flooding in some areas.
The YELLOW weather warning comes into force from 12:00 GMT on Thursday, October 29, to midnight on Friday, October 30.
Forecasters say Wales could experience up to 130mm of rain in parts and the Council’s Highways teams are proactively monitoring culverts and clearing drains and gulleys in advance of the weather warning coming in to effect.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council would like to reassure its residents and businesses that it has made additional resources available to deal with any issues which may arise as a result of any adverse weather conditions.
The Council is advising residents to be alert and take extra care at this time.
If you have any issues outside of working hours or over the weekend, please call the Council’s Emergency Out Of Hours number 01443 425011.
