Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) will be announcing the overall winner of its annual Creative Competition with the support of some special guests including Ryan Giggs, CBBC’s Alex Winters and the Children’s Commissionaire in Wales, Sally Holland.
In its 14th year, the competition celebrates the creative contributions of young people on the themes of equality, anti-racism and diversity. The charity livestream will kick off at 3pm @theredcardwales on Wednesday 6th May.
Winners and runners up will be confirmed in 9 categories with entries from across Wales winning prizes for creative writing, poster design and clothing design.
Sunil Patel, Wales Campaign Manager for SRtRC, said ‘The standard of entries has been brilliant and the competition is a massive part of our work to educate young people about racism. At this difficult time, it is encouraging to see young people empowered to produce such inspiring entries which highlight this important issue in society. Well done to all the prize winners and thank you to the schools who have helped support this year’s competition.’
