THE POGUES HAVE BEEN VOTED AS THE BEST CHRISTMAS MUSIC VIDEO

Everyone is talking about the Christmas number one in the charts, but what about the number one video of all time?

A new poll of 2,000 people reveals the most popular Christmas music video of all time is Fairytale of New York by The Pogues and Kirsty Macoll.

Storming to the top spot, the classic (but often controversial) song received the support of an astounding 24% of the participants.

The duo beat Wham and Last Christmas, which shows George Michael putting up his Christmas tree and singing about his festive heartbreak.

In third place is Mariah Carey playing in the snow and hanging out with Santa in the video of her most iconic song All I Want For Christmas Is You.

The rest of the music video chart consisted of Wizzard, Band Aid, The Darkness, Shakin Stevens, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Paul McCartney.
