Remedial Work to start at Pontypridd Museum

Pontypridd Town Council have announced that they are to undertake the remedial work in Pontypridd Museum, which will be starting on Monday 12th April with a completion date of Monday 26th July 2021. The Museum has unfortunately been closed since February 2020 following substantial flood damage to the ground floor caused by Storm Dennis.
All of the ground floor area will be fully refurbished with new stores, offices, community area and kitchen/café.
The allocated Council parking spaces in the car park adjacent to the Town Council Offices will be utilised by the contractors carrying out the work on the Museum therefore unfortunately there will no parking facilities available during this time.
Pontypridd Museum have said that they cannot wait to welcome everyone back!
The Pontypridd Town Mayor, Councillor Loretta Tomkinson said:
“We are really pleased the remedial work in the Museum will commence shortly. It has been a very strange and difficult year but we are looking forward to the refurbishment of the Museum and welcoming back the many visitors for them to enjoy once again!”
