Men’s Shed Awareness Day

Members of the Pontypridd based Men’s Shed are inviting local organisations to join them in a special event they are holding in March.
Since its formation two years ago the Pontypridd Men’s Shed project, based in the Taff Meadow Community Centre in Treforest, has grown to almost 40 members.
‘Men’s Sheds’ are social groups set up in local communities for the benefit of men.
They are self-governed, self- supported and sustainable with a small committee, their own individual constitution and their own income.
The event called “Men’s Shed Awareness Day” is being held at the Pontypridd museum on Saturday March 8th from 10am to 2pm.
Spokesman Adrian Dumphy said:
“Although the event is aimed mainly at demonstrating the value of the Men’s Shed project in the community we are keen to involve other organisations which support the elderly. They will be made very welcome.”
Any interested organisations should contact Andy Phillips on 07708 251 268.
