Man Caught with Cocaine and Cash Jailed

A man from Nelson caught with cocaine and cash after he was spotted acting suspiciously in Pontypridd by a local police officer has been jailed.
Levi Thomas, 25, of Heol Morien, Nelson was driving a black Range Rover when he was suspected of carrying out a drug deal in Treforest on 14th May, 2022.
The vehicle was stopped a short distance away and searched it under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Thomas was arrested after street deals of cocaine and cash was found in the driver side door of the vehicle.
More cash was found by officers when they searched his home address and two business addresses linked to Thomas.
He pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply and appeared at Cardiff Crown Court where he was jailed for three years.
Nearly £9,000 in cash has been confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Detective Sergeant Lia Jones, said:
“This is another example of how proactive patrols have led to arrests and drug seizures.
“This drug dealer is now in prison and we will work with specialist investigators to ensure he does not profit from his criminal lifestyle.”
