Despite Martin’s busy schedule filming he can often be seen on the pavements of the Rhondda – a place he now refers to as his second home.

Today he is knee deep in architectural drawings and rubble in a renovation project that will see the Hendrewen transformed into a village hub in Blaencwm.

During the renovation young adults from the Rhondda have been given an opportunity of working with Martin to gain valuable skills and knowledge in the construction industry, working towards a formal qualification and apprenticeship scheme, Martin will be dragging himself away from the bricks, beams and 150 miles of electricity cable needed for the project – to speak to Haydn on today’s Community Link.
