Hensol Castle Distillery gin range wins big at World Gin Awards

The team at Hensol Castle Distillery is once again raising their glass after winning big at the World Gin Awards 2024, following a successful year of award wins in 2023 at the World Gin Awards and The Gin Guide Awards.
The Pontyclun based distillery’s Wild Strawberry & Hibiscus Gin won both Gold and Country Winner for Wales in the Flavoured Gin category, both of which were awarded to the distillery’s Welsh Dry Gin in 2023. Just recently this gin hit the shelves of many M&S Foodhalls throughout Wales and is soon to hit the shelves of all major Tesco supermarkets throughout the country too. Hensol Castle Black Gin also won Silver in the Flavoured Gin category.
Located in the cellars of the 400-year-old, Grade-I listed Hensol Castle, Hensol Castle Distillery has been producing its own brand of gin since late 2021. In a short time, the distillery’s own gin products have gone on to win numerous awards and are now being stocked on the shelves of numerous M&S Foodhalls around Wales, as well as online and in all major Asda, Morrisons and Tesco supermarkets across the country.
Chris Leeke, Managing Director of www.hensolcastledistillery.com, commented:
“These awards further cement our position as an industry leader, which is a fantastic achievement for our team considering we only launched a couple of years ago. We’ve just come out of our most successful year to date and it’s less than a month into the new year and we’re already winning awards. What’s more, we won Gold and Country Winner for one of our flavoured gins, awards that were held by our Dry Gin just last year. Hopefully this is the start of another brilliant year for Hensol Castle Distillery.”
