Garden Gathering for Parkinsons
Written by Gavin on 20th June 2017
Parkinson’s UK has launched a brand new fundraiser – Garden Gathering a chance to put on your own mini-festival at home.
Garden Gathering is a chance for supporters to hold their own mini-festival at home. Whether people choose a craft beer BBQ, or a picnic with Pimms and pink lemonade, it’s a unique way to help find a cure and support everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
On 1 July 2017, there will be hundreds of Parkinson’s UK’s Garden Gatherings taking place across the UK and 30 will be held in Wales on that date or a date very close to it.
Supporter Sharon’s Martin’s is holding her Garden Gathering Summer Fete at The Heritage Park, Trehafod on 1 July 2017 between 11am – 3pm.
You don’t have to book, just turn up with friends and family for what I am sure will be a great afternoon of fun.
Sharon lives in Pontypridd and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 15 years ago at just 37 years of age. She is passionate about raising awareness of this complex condition.
