‘Community Potential Project’ Funding Success for Cynon Taf Housing

Cynon Taf Community Housing Group is thrilled to announce they been awarded £126,395 from WCVA Active Inclusion Fund for a brand new project called the ‘Community Potential Project.’
The Community Potential Project has been supported by the European Social Fund through Welsh Government.
Cynon Taf Community Housing Group is a registered social landlord based in Abercynon, South Wales and manages over 1,800 homes throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf.
The project’s purpose is to help people living within the local communities, who are aged over 25 and looking to improve their skills with the goal of moving into employment. The participants must be Long Term Unemployed (12 months+) or economically inactive to be eligible for the project.
Once participants have been identified to take part, individual goals will be set and they will be supported to access activities such as:
• Confidence building
• Basic & social skills
• Money management skills
• Digital skills
• Active volunteering
• Learning to learn
The project, backed with £126,359 from the European Social Fund through Welsh government, will help address poverty and social exclusion for those furthest from the labour market through basic skill building and training in order to move participants closer to employment.
