Cambrian Memorial 17th May

Today (Friday 17th May) starting at 12.50 there will be a memorial ceremony at the former Cambrian Colliery site at the top of the Clydach Vale near Tonypandy.
The annual event is staged by RCT Council in support of former miner Bill Richards who established it to remember 31 colleagues killed in an explosion at 1pm on 17th May 1965.
In an interview broadcast on GTFM prior to this years event Bill, now 81 years of age, explained how it all began to Terry Mann.
