British Transport Police are appealing for information after an iPhone 7 was stolen at Tonypandy train station between 1-2pm on Monday 29th May.
A 14-year-old girl was sat on a bench at the station. When her train arrived she picked up her belongings but left the phone. A man then approached the bench and took it.
Realising she had left her phone, the girl returned and approached the man who was sat close to where she left the phone.
Asking him had he had seen the phone, he replied ‘no’.
Officers have now released a CCTV image of man they wish to speak with in connection with the incident.
