Registration is NOW OPEN for this year’s annual Rhondda Walk for Macmillan Cancer Support.
It’s back with a brand new 10 mile, family friendly walk, so hot foot it down to Rhondda Sports Centre and join in on Saturday 20th May, where you can put your best foot forward from 10am.
Registration is £10.00 (inc a t-shirt) you’ll be making a massive difference to so many people living with cancer in RCT.
Starts at Rhondda Sports Centre, Ystrad and continues through the Valley via Pentre, Ystrad, Pentre, Treorchy, Gelli, Llwynypia, Tonypandy, Trealaw and finally, finishing back at the start at Rhondda Sports Centre.
Macmillan volunteer and Rhondda Walk organiser Jeff Cowland of Tonypandy said
“Each year the walk gets bigger and better, it’s a great day out and that’s down to the amazing Rhondda communities who give so generously.
Taking part in the Rhondda Walk gives you the opportunity to walk alone, with friends, work colleagues or even with your dog, whoever you chose to walk with you help make a massive difference to improve the lives of those affected by cancer”.
Nicola Newhams, Macmillan Fundraising Manager added,
“Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face and the feelings of loneliness and isolation that so many people experience make it even harder.
Now, more than ever, we need people like the amazing supporters who take part in the Rhondda Walk to get involved. Through, their support we are able to continue the services Macmillan can provide in South Wales; Macmillan aims to reach everyone affected by cancer and through their donations and sponsorship we are a step closer to achieving our goal”.
