44 Year Old Man Arrested for Stabbing in Cardiff

A large police presence was called to Cardiff city centre following a stabbing earlier today.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Officers were alerted to the incident just after 9am on Tuesday, November 23 and a cordon was established off Dumballs Road, outside a housing options centre.
Hansen Street remains closed as investigations continue, however, Dumballs Road is open to the public as normal.
Nine police vehicles and three ambulances, CID, and forensics were at the scene.
In a statement on their social media, South Wales Police said: ”
A man has been arrested in connection with an incident near Dumballs Road this morning.
South Wales Police is investigating a stabbing in Hansen Street, Butetown, Cardiff shortly after 9am this morning.A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is in custody.Hansen Street remains closed off by a police cordon and we thank the local community for their co-operation while enquiries continue.
Further information will be provided as soon as possible.”
The Huggard Centre have confirmed to Wales Online that the incident did not occur within the building, and the centre remains opened to assist those in need.
