What is Velothon Wales?
Velothon is a cycle race, where 18,000 riders will roll across the start line in the heart of Cardiff City Centre and embark on a completely closed road cycling sportive that takes in some of Wales’ most breathtaking scenery.
Some are doing it for Charity and others are doing it professionally.

Does the Velothon affect RCT?
No not directly, but if you are heading into Cardiff or nearby Caerphilly using the car or public transport, there will be road closures in place during the day
Key Road Info (Specific to our neighbouring areas to the GTFM broadcast area)
• A48 (Eastern Avenue) and M4 fully open
• Central Link to Tyndall St – Westbound Only (Heading into Cardiff)
• A469 Northbound open from Caerphilly to Ystrad Mynach
• A469 Southbound lane open from Coed-y-Brain Roundabout to Pwllypant Roundabout.
• Access available to Morrisons from Lansbury Park (Not Town Centre)
