The National Lido of Wales

The regenerated 1920’s open air Lido in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park officially re-opens on 29th August 2015 after a £6.3 million face-lift, thanks to a Heritage Lottery Grant The photographs and interviews below were taken by Jamie Pritchard and Lydia Griffiths from GTFM’s Newsroom on the Press preview day on 16th August.

Lydia then spoke to Cllr Maureen Webber, who is RCT Cabinet Member for Council Business.She grew up near the park of which she is now a Trustee, as well as being the County Councillor for Rhydyfelin and Ilan. What does she think of the new look Lido?
