Fancy getting behind that microphone pictured above?
Are you a good storyteller? (If yes, read on!)
Have you recently graduated with a media related degree / have an interest in radio/ news, sports and journalism?
Either way, we’d love to hear from you!
Our newsroom would love the sound of new enthusiastic individuals who can compile and read news bulletins suitable for broadcast (under guidance from the Station Manager) – which predominately cover the area of Rhondda Cynon Taf, but sometimes stories will cross over into neighbouring counties and for some will be ‘Wales wide’.
A media related degree is recommended for this role within our proud station and great time management skills would be a bonus.
Also, knowledge of the area we cover and style of our presentation would be a great help too.
(psst, listen to us for a bit – we’re online / FM across RCT and on mobile – details here)
We use Myriad / Adobe Audition / Cool Edit software, so if you have an idea how that all works you’ll fit in just fine … and if not, we’ll provide you with some training, that’s no problem!
Like every other voice that’s heard on air at GTFM – this is a volunteer role … but we know opportunities in radio are few and far between.
To apply: Send a covering letter, CV and a short audio demo (in mp3 format/soundcloud link) to ‘firstname.lastname@example.org‘
(Note, applications without a audio file attachment/audio link – will not be considered)
We look forward hearing from you!
