FREE festive parking returns to Aberdare and Pontypridd Town Centres throughout December – for the fifth year in a row.
All Council-owned car parks in the two towns will once again be free to use for residents and visitors from 10am on Saturday 1st December, to encourage more people to enjoy our Town Centres over the Christmas period.
This coincides with the Council’s Shop Local campaign, which encourages residents to support local Town Centre traders this Christmas.
Car parks in Aberdare and Pontypridd will be free from 10am each day, throughout the whole month, up until December 31st.
In Aberdare, this includes car parks at
- Crown Buildings
- Green Street
- Duke Street
- High Street
- Nant Row
- Rock Grounds
In Pontypridd, free parking will be at
- Gas Road
- Goods Yard (Council owned section only)
- Berw Road
- Sardis Road
Council car parks in Tonypandy, Porth and Mountain Ash remain free on a permanent basis, after the Council ended charges in the three towns from April 2017.
Disabled people can continue to park for free at all times in designated disabled bays when they display their ‘blue badge’.
