The free event, which takes place on Friday 29th July between 10.30am-3.30pm, will be held at Pontypridd’s Ynysangharad Park this year.
Live music, the GTFM radio roadshow, donkey rides, a pets’ corner, plenty of activities for kids and 1950s themed entertainment will all be part of the fun at the annual event. This year’s fun day will also see the unveiling of the housing organisation’s new name and brand – Trivallis.
The fun day will include lots of entertainment suitable for all ages, whatever the weather. Children will be entertained by Roly Poly Entertainment, arts and crafts and face painting areas. There will be plenty of sports to have a go at on the day and bouncy castles, inflatable slides and surf simulators. Ziggies will also be running fun craft and story time sessions with the youngsters.
The Info Zone, will be packed out with stands and information for tenants. Visitors can chat to staff from the housing organisation about its services including the STEPS support team, Go4It family engagement project, 1,2,3…Ready Universal Credit advice and the dedicated repairs team. Visitors can also find out about the volunteering and training opportunities that are available.
Local organisations will also be there including Careers Wales, Communities First, Game on Wales and Project Teens.
Visitors on the day will also have the chance to meet their local Tenants and Residents Association. They can also find out how to get involved in representing their community and making decisions at the housing organisation. At 11.30am, tenants will be able to take part in the Annual Members’ Meeting.
The Fun Day is free and open to all tenants. To make it easy to get to, free buses throughout the valleys have been arranged to bring people to Ynysangharad Park for 10:30 am and bring them home afterwards. Tenants will be able to purchase food from a range of stalls throughout the day.
