The popularity of Women’s football is on the increase, and the AFC Porth Ladies are currently raising £2000 to help fund new training equipment, kits and a safe place to train as their current training pitch is littered with dog faeces, rubbish and on occasions drug paraphernalia.
The team, based in Porth is made up of around 35 players from the local area, all from different walks of life.
Their primary focus is to build a team that enjoys football for what it is; a beautiful game that challenges you mentally and physically. In order to do this, they need kits that fit, new training equipment and a pitch that is safe.
