The National Lido of Wales

The regenerated 1920's open air Lido in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park
re-opened to the public on 25th August 2015 after a £6.3 million face-lift,
thanks to a Heritage Lottery Grant and other funding from RCT County Borough Council,
Cadw and European Regional Development Fund
After initial speeches the official opening ceremony took place on
Monday 24th August at the pool side
Councillor Ann Crimmings, RCT Cabinet Member for Environment,
Leisure and Culture (right) thanked people involved in the project
and introduced the Lord Lieutenant of Glamorgan, Mrs Kate Thomas CVO JP

She grew up near the park of which she is now a Trustee, as well as being the County Councillor for Rhydyfelin
